My story

Nataraja comes from the Sanskrit word “Nata” = dance and “Raja” = King/Lord. Thus, it is the depiction of Lord Shiva as the ‘Cosmic Dancer’ who performs the divine dance of life..
For me, the essence of this symbol is in the simple understanding that spirit and matter love to dance… From the human spirit dancing through life with dreams and desires , to the sounds and movements of nature and it’s unique orchestration of rhythm.. the rolling waves of the sea, the gusty winds of the north, spontaneous shower storms, or the sweetness of the birds singing in the morning.. each a perfect dance of sound and movement..
Nataraja Wellness, established in 2013, is based on finding that perfect balance between movement and stillness within you; the perfect balance of rest and activity.. through modalities in Yoga/Ayurveda/Dance & Music….
It is my belief that the dance we create of knowing when to act and when to be still gives rise to a natural spring of wellness.

My Inspiration
“…The entire creation is the dance of Shiva.. You can never separate the dancer and the dance. The dancer is consciousness or Purusha and dance is the Prakrati or nature/creation..”
Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

As a university student, I was not fully content with the professors I had, because somehow I felt that they were delivering knowledge but they did not really care if I was enjoying what I was learning. When I met Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, http://srisriravishankar.org I finally felt I met a teacher who truly cared about my wellbeing, who put my spirit first, and who made sure that I stay enthusiastic and inspired. My humble gratitude for his teachings and to my colleagues/friends in the Art of Living (www.artofliving.org) that have been models of exemplary leadership and unwavering commitment to servicing humanity.
